The collaboration of the B06 and A01 projects was deepened by the laboratory visit of Benedikt Gantert (Institute of Pharmacy and Food Chemistry, University of Würzburg, PI Prof. Tessa Lühmann) to the Chair of Biomaterials in Erlangen (FAU Institut für Biomaterialien, Head: Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini).
Dr. Rainer Detsch (B06), Jonas Roeder (A01), Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini (A01) and Benedikt Gantert (B06) discussed further chemical modifications of alginate-based bioinks for the production of novel reporter bioinks. The first experiments within the research activities of projects B06 and A01 are very promising and will be further developed.
