It is a pleasure to invite you to the first TRR225 seminar 2022 “The role of brain barriers in neuroinflammation and neuroregeneration” on *Monday 17th January at 14.15 h*. The scientific talk of Prof. Marek Joukal, from the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic is organized by Dr. Sahar Salehi (Lehrstuhl für Biomaterialien, Universität Bayreuth).

Biography:
Associate Professor Marek Joukal, M.D., Ph.D. has been the Head of the Department of Anatomy since 2019 at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic. He received his Habilitation and PhD at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University. His main research focus is on the functional morphology of the nervous system, cellular and molecular biology, histochemistry, quantitative immunohistochemistry, electrophysiology, clinical anatomy with a focus on Forensic Science. He is also the recipient of various awards such as Rector’s Award for Innovations in Teaching (2021), Czech Anatomical Society Award for the Best Publication (2019).
