The SFB/TRR 225 “From the fundamentals of biofabrication towards functional tissue models” Seminar Series 2020 was a great success, providing an opportunity for experts to share their research on the latest developments in biofabrication. One of the seminars was held on 05th March 2020 and focused on “Near infrared fluorescent materials: From functional materials to biophotonics and medical applications”. Dr. Sebastian Kruss from the Georg‐August‐Universität Göttingen, Institute of Physical Chemistry gave a presentation on the topic. The seminar was hosted at the University of Würzburg, with the location being Röntgenring 11, Hörsaal A222, 2nd floor. Guests were welcome to attend the seminar, and the contact person was Prof. Dr. Jürgen Groll.

The seminar series is a part of the SFB/TRR 225 research program, which aims to bridge the gap between fundamental research and clinical applications of biofabricated materials. The program involves collaboration between researchers, clinicians, and industrial partners, with over 80 scientists working on the project to develop the biofabricated implants of the future
