Insights from the SFB/TRR 225 Retreat at Kloster Banz: Advancing Biofabrication and Tissue Engineering
The SFB/TRR 225 Klausurtagung, which took place from March 18 to 20, 2024 in Bad Staffelstein at the Kloster Banz, was a great success. The event brought together top researchers in the field of biofabrication and tissue engineering, who worked closely together in the SFB/TRR 225. Participants had the opportunity to share their latest research, collaborate on new ideas, and discuss future directions for the field.
The retreat included a variety of activities, such as presentations of every subproject, cooperation meetings, further planning for the 3nd funding period, individuell sessions for the data management, the election of new PhD student representatives and the introduction of the new scientific coordinator, Alice Rein. At the second day an 8km hike was planned by Jörg Teßmar guiding us through the Forest of Banz to the destination “The Brewery & Inn Reblitz“ . There we spent an enjoyable evening tasting the different sorts of beer and savour franconian cuisine. During the 4 km walk back to the accommodation, the sociable get-together was rounded off with small talk under a starry sky.
Overall, the SFB/TRR 225 Klausurtagung provided a valuable platform for researchers to share their latest findings and collaborate on new ideas for advancing the field of biofabrication and tissue engineering.
