It was a pleasure hosting Prof. Kristopher Kilian (Shanahan Chair in Frontier Medical Solutions & a Redmond Barry Distinguished Professor at the University of Melbourne & the Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery) on 19 February in our newly established Center of Polymers for Life (CPL) at the Campus of the University of Würzburg at Hubland and on 20th February at the Department for Functional Materials and Dentistry. We had the chance for scientific exchange and also visit some of the of the sights in the city like the statue of St. Kilian.
Kris gave an excellent presentation about his research on advanced biomaterials and matrix engineering with the inspiring title “Engineering blood vessels, vascularized and functional tissues: key steps towards clinical translation of tissue engineering” as part of the TRR225 Seminar Series 2026. We also identified project areas related to the CRC/TRR225 that supported the visit.
Thanks Kris!
