On 3 November 2025, Prof. Shery Huang (Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge) delivered an inspiring lecture titled “Multi-scale Biofabrication towards Engineering Biology” as part of the TRR225 Seminar Series 2025. The seminar took place in the Oswald-Külpe lecture hall at the University Hospital Würzburg.

Members of the CRC/TRR 225 from Bayreuth, Würzburg, and Erlangen enjoyed an engaging and insightful presentation, gaining valuable perspectives on current challenges and emerging solutions in the field of biofabrication.

During her visit, Prof. Huang also had the opportunity to explore our state-of-the-art facilities at the newly established Center of Polymers for Life (CPL) and the Research Center for Functional Materials (FMZ) at the ZMK. She met with several of our key researchers and gained deeper insights into the ongoing projects within TRR225.
