By 7. March 2025September 12th, 2025News

On December 20th, 2024, the Center of Polymers for Life was officially handed over by the State Building Authority to the Julius-Maximilians-University and its future users, as planned just before the end of the year.

This state-of-the-art building will house an interdisciplinary team, including parts of the Institute for Functional Materials and Biofabrication. It will encompass the chemical synthesis and biofabrication units of the Department for Functional Materials in Medicine and Dentistry (FMZ) and the Chair of Macromolecular Chemistry (MMC).

Equipped with cutting-edge chemistry and biofabrication laboratories, office spaces, meeting rooms, and a central analytical facility, the center offers ideal conditions for both research groups. We are thrilled to begin moving in and look forward to the groundbreaking research that will take place here!

An official opening ceremony is planned for the new year.
