If you are a student approaching the field of bioprinting, this review is for you! Our students N. Murenu, C. Mussoni and several others from the CRC TRR225 “Biofab” supported by PIs N. Schaefer, G. Lang, and S. Budday, analysed the state of the art to get the full picture of where is bioprinting at and where is it going. We asked the general public their opinion on bioprinting, are we optimistic that it will work? what are the expectation from the public and from the scientists themselves? we tried to answer as realistically as possible in this review and also bet on what’s to come to make this endeavour successful, read more on Advanced Healthcare Materials.
