SFB/TRR 225 “From the fundamentals of biofabrication towards functional tissue models” Seminar Series 2023

On January 28th, 2023, the SFB/TRR 225 Seminar Series welcomed Parth Chansoria, PhD, an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellow at ETH Zurich’s Tissue Engineering and Biofabrication Lab. Dr. Chansoria gave a talk on “Harnessing the potential of light for the rapid fabrication of biomimetic engineered tissues and grafts.”

During his talk, Dr. Chansoria discussed the potential of using light-based techniques to fabricate biomimetic tissues and grafts. He shared his team’s research on using biocompatible materials and light to create complex 3D structures that closely resemble natural tissues. This technology has great potential for the development of personalized tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

Dr. Chansoria received his PhD in Advanced Manufacturing from NC State, USA. He then went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he focused on developing patches for dynamic organs, before moving to ETH.

The SFB/TRR 225 Seminar Series provides a platform for leading researchers in the field of biofabrication and tissue engineering to share their knowledge and latest findings. The series is a joint effort between the University of Würzburg and the University of Bayreuth and Erlangen, and it aims to promote interdisciplinary research in this rapidly growing field.

Guests are always welcome to attend the SFB/TRR 225 Seminar Series talks, which take place both in-person and online. For more information on upcoming seminars, please visit the SFB/TRR 225 website.
