A new publication featuring the collaboration of subprojects A01, A02, A07, B06, B08 has been accepted for publication (Open Access) in the journal Biofabrication (LINK: https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1758-5090/ab98e5/meta ). The study reports the development of a homogeneous pre-crosslinking technique for alginate hydrogels, which was shown to markedly improve the printability of alginate solutions in order to achieve high cell viabilities and shape fidelity post-printing. Different pre-crosslinking compositions were investigated rheologically in order to compare the influence of the relevant processing parameters, for selecting best alginate-based printable bioinks.
